Terms & Conditions
Clear, transparent, and fair terms governing our custom interior design, in-house manufacturing, and delivery services.
These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using decfort.com and the basis on which DECFORT receives enquiries, provides consultations, issues proposals, and supplies interior design, execution, renovation, and related services. Please read them carefully before using the website or engaging with us.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using this website, submitting an enquiry, requesting a consultation or quotation, or otherwise interacting with DECFORT through the website, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
If you use the website on behalf of a company, association, family, property owner, or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that person or entity.
2. About DECFORT
DECFORT is a unit of ARN Group and provides interior design, project execution, renovation, and related services for residential and commercial spaces. In these Terms, “DECFORT”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to DECFORT, a unit of ARN Group. “You” and “your” refer to each visitor, prospective customer, customer, or person acting on a customer’s behalf.
3. Scope of these Terms
These Terms apply to use of the website and to preliminary interactions initiated through it. They do not by themselves constitute a final project agreement or require either party to proceed with a project.
A project becomes binding only when the applicable quotation, proposal, work order, design agreement, service agreement, or other written project document is accepted in the manner stated in that document and any required advance is received. If a signed or accepted project document conflicts with these website Terms, the project document will govern that project to the extent of the conflict.
4. Eligibility and Authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to engage our services. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and must not submit another person’s details without lawful authority.
5. Website Information
We aim to keep the website accurate and useful, but descriptions, articles, images, videos, specifications, offers, timelines, prices, availability, and other information may be illustrative, general, or subject to change. Website content is not a substitute for a site inspection, detailed measurement, technical assessment, or project-specific written proposal.
Images and visualisations are for reference. Colours, grain, pattern, scale, lighting, texture, proportion, and finish may appear different on screens or after installation. Natural materials and manufactured batches may also vary.
6. Enquiries and Free Consultations
Submitting a form, calling, emailing, or requesting a free consultation does not guarantee acceptance of a project, reserve a project slot, create exclusivity, or create a contract. A free consultation is an initial discussion intended to understand broad requirements. Detailed design work, measured drawings, technical advice, bills of quantities, site surveys, and revisions may be chargeable if stated in our proposal.
We may decline an enquiry or project where the scope, location, timeline, budget, site condition, safety requirement, technical feasibility, or resource requirement is unsuitable.
7. Quotations and Contract Formation
Any estimate or preliminary budget shared before full design development and site verification is indicative. A quotation is valid only for the period stated in it and is based on the described scope, quantities, assumptions, specifications, brands, and site conditions.
Unless expressly included, a quotation does not include approvals, permissions, structural design, society or building charges, statutory fees, utility deposits, professional fees of external consultants, hidden-condition rectification, or work outside the listed scope.
Your acceptance is effective only through the method stated in the quotation or project document. Verbal discussions, website messages, concept images, and informal chats do not amend the agreed scope unless confirmed by authorised representatives in writing.
8. Designs, Measurements, Drawings, and Visualisations
Design concepts, mood boards, drawings, renderings, samples, and layouts are prepared from the information, measurements, and approvals available at the time. Site dimensions and service positions may require verification before production or installation. Minor adjustments required for site conditions, safety, functionality, hardware clearances, or manufacturing tolerances may be made during execution.
Three-dimensional views and reference images are visual aids and not exact photographs of the finished result. Final appearance depends on approved materials, site lighting, workmanship tolerances, product availability, and actual dimensions.
Unless the accepted quotation states otherwise, the design scope includes space planning, 2D drawings, 3D visualisations, and up to three rounds of reasonable design changes. Any additional revision, redesign, or change beyond the included rounds will be chargeable and may extend the schedule.
Initial design discussions and layouts may be shared in 2D format. Three-dimensional renderings will be prepared after the relevant 2D layout or concept is approved by the customer.
If the customer discontinues the design service after finalisation of the 2D or 3D design package, a design fee of Rs. 50 per square foot of carpet area will apply, unless a different design fee is stated in the accepted quotation or design agreement. Credit will be given for design fees already paid for the same scope.
9. Pricing, Taxes, and Payment
Project prices, payment milestones, taxes, fees, and payment methods will be stated in the applicable quotation or project agreement. Unless stated otherwise, statutory taxes and government charges are additional where legally applicable.
Payments must be made by the due dates and through approved payment channels. We may pause design, procurement, manufacturing, site work, delivery, or installation if a payment is overdue. Any resulting delay may extend the completion schedule and may create remobilisation, storage, vendor, or price-escalation costs where reasonably incurred and disclosed.
Bank, card, payment-gateway, or transfer charges imposed by a third party are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Unless a project-specific quotation states a different schedule, the standard payment milestones are:
- 10% of the total estimated project value upon order confirmation;
- 50% upon finalisation of the design and approval of the quotation; and
- 40% at the commencement of installation at the site.
The booking or token advance is non-refundable after DECFORT has reserved resources, commenced design work, completed a site visit, or incurred project-specific costs, except where a refund is required by law or expressly provided in the accepted project document.
The estimated price covers only the work and quantities described in the quotation and excludes taxes unless expressly stated otherwise. Final billing will reflect actual completed work, approved quantities, variations, and applicable taxes in accordance with law.
Any additional requirement requested after acceptance of the project agreement will be treated as a variation and will require 100% advance payment for that additional scope before procurement or execution, unless DECFORT agrees otherwise in writing.
Formal project handover, release of final design files, warranty documentation, and completion records may be deferred until all undisputed amounts due to DECFORT are paid, to the extent permitted by law. This clause does not authorise DECFORT to retain the customer’s personal property or deny any right that cannot lawfully be restricted.
10. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing timely decisions, accurate information, authorised access, and a safe and workable site. Your responsibilities may include:
- confirming ownership, tenancy rights, and authority to approve the work;
- obtaining society, landlord, building, government, or other permissions not expressly included in our scope;
- disclosing known structural, electrical, plumbing, seepage, waterproofing, pest, hazardous-material, or building-service issues;
- providing electricity, water, lift or staircase access, parking, material movement permission, and working-hour access where required;
- protecting or removing valuables, fragile goods, and personal belongings from work areas;
- ensuring that parallel contractors and occupants do not obstruct, damage, or alter our work; and
- giving approvals and feedback within the time stated in the project schedule.
We are not responsible for delay, cost, or damage caused by inaccurate information, withheld site conditions, unauthorised third-party interference, or failure to meet these responsibilities, except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence.
The customer must provide continuous electricity, water, toilet access, and other basic site utilities required for execution at no cost to DECFORT. Interruption or non-availability may suspend affected work and extend the project completion date.
The customer must provide working elevator access for movement of materials wherever available. If the lift is unavailable, restricted, or unsuitable and materials must be carried manually, the customer will bear the reasonable lifting or handling charges, payable when the materials are delivered or when the charge is notified.
During execution, all instructions, changes, approvals, and complaints must be routed through the assigned customer relationship manager or another authorised DECFORT representative. The customer must not directly instruct workers or vendors. Only DECFORT-authorised workers may perform or alter work within DECFORT’s agreed scope; any third-party activity in the same work area requires prior coordination.
11. Approvals, Revisions, and Change Orders
You must review drawings, finishes, specifications, quantities, and samples before approval. Approval by email, messaging application, signed document, customer portal, or another agreed electronic method may be relied upon for the project.
Changes requested after approval, procurement, production, or installation may affect price and time. We will identify material changes through a revised quotation, variation, or change order where reasonably practicable. We are not required to proceed with additional or changed work until its commercial and technical impact is accepted.
Once a design, service, or inclusion has been approved, it cannot be withdrawn from the agreed scope without DECFORT’s written acceptance of a cancellation or variation. Any change requested after design approval is chargeable and may affect procurement, production, installation, and delivery dates.
12. Materials, Products, and Substitutions
Materials and brands will follow the accepted project specifications, subject to availability. If a specified item becomes unavailable, discontinued, materially delayed, or unsuitable, we may propose a reasonably comparable alternative for your approval. Any price or schedule difference will be communicated before substitution, except where an immediate minor site adjustment is necessary for safety or installation and does not materially reduce quality or function.
Wood, veneer, stone, marble, granite, fabrics, laminates, paint, metal finishes, and other materials may show natural or batch variations. Samples are representative and may not reproduce the exact shade, grain, pattern, or texture of the installed material.
Materials included in DECFORT’s contracted supply scope must be procured through DECFORT after the customer approves the applicable specifications and cost. The customer may not outsource or directly purchase those same in-scope materials without DECFORT’s prior written approval. Customer-supplied items accepted in writing remain subject to the limitations stated in these Terms and the project agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed, DECFORT may remove and dispose of packaging, offcuts, installation waste, and scrap generated by its work. Unused full items separately billed to the customer will remain the customer’s property unless credited, returned to a supplier, or otherwise agreed in writing.
13. Third Party Products and Contractors
Appliances, sanitaryware, lighting, hardware, electronics, loose furniture, and other third-party products may be covered by the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty and service terms. Where permitted, we will pass through available warranty information, but we do not control a third party’s service response or product policy.
If you appoint a separate contractor or supplier, that person remains under your control and responsibility. We are not liable for their work, delay, damage, or interference. Coordination beyond our agreed scope may be chargeable.
14. Project Timelines and Delays
Indicative timelines begin only after the conditions stated in the project agreement are met, which may include design approval, site handover, advance payment, permissions, and final measurements. Completion dates may change due to approved variations, delayed decisions or payments, access restrictions, occupied-site conditions, material availability, third-party dependencies, rectification of hidden conditions, or events beyond reasonable control.
We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material schedule changes. Marketing references to typical completion periods are not a guaranteed deadline unless expressly incorporated into the accepted project agreement.
15. Site Conditions and Hidden Work
Renovation and alteration work may reveal concealed pipes, wiring, dampness, structural defects, weak substrates, unauthorised earlier modifications, pests, or other conditions not visible during an initial inspection. Work required to investigate, make safe, repair, or redesign around such conditions is outside the original scope unless expressly included and may require additional time and cost.
We will not knowingly undertake structural, electrical, plumbing, gas, fire-safety, or other regulated work that requires specialist approval unless the required professional, permission, or licensed person is engaged.
16. Delivery, Inspection, and Handover
You should inspect completed work at agreed stages and at handover. Visible defects, shortages, or incomplete items should be recorded in a snag or handover list within the period stated in the project agreement. We will assess reported items and rectify those attributable to our agreed scope within a reasonable time, considering access, material availability, and the nature of the work.
Use, occupation, or handover does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, but it may confirm acceptance of items that were reasonably apparent and not reported during inspection.
DECFORT will perform the agreed services using reasonable skill and care and in accordance with the approved specifications and generally accepted workmanship standards applicable to the relevant trade.
17. Warranty and After Sales Support
Any workmanship warranty, product warranty, service visit, or maintenance commitment applies only if and as stated in the accepted project agreement, warranty card, or manufacturer documentation. Warranty periods do not restart after a repair unless required by law or expressly agreed.
Unless the project document states otherwise, warranty does not cover normal wear and tear; colour fading or natural variation; damage from misuse, impact, overloading, negligence, moisture, seepage, leakage, pests, fire, or building movement; defects in pre-existing work or customer-supplied items; consumables; unauthorised repair or alteration; or failure to follow care instructions. This clause does not limit any mandatory statutory warranty or consumer remedy.
Subject to full payment and the accepted project documents, DECFORT will provide one year of complimentary annual maintenance support from the date of project handover for eligible workmanship issues within DECFORT’s executed scope. The AMC does not replace or extend a manufacturer’s product warranty.
Customer-requested changes, additions, relocation, upgrades, replacement materials, consumables, third-party products, client-selected or client-supplied materials, and damage outside DECFORT’s workmanship responsibility are not included in the complimentary AMC. Applicable labour, visit, transport, and material charges will be communicated before such work is undertaken.
18. Cancellation, Suspension, and Refunds
Cancellation and refund rights for a project are governed by the accepted quotation or project agreement and applicable law. Unless that document or law provides otherwise, amounts attributable to completed design work, site visits, measurements, professional time, approved procurement, customised or manufactured goods, mobilisation, cancellation charges imposed by vendors, and other non-recoverable commitments may be deducted from any refundable amount.
We may suspend or terminate a project for material non-payment, unsafe conditions, unlawful instructions, persistent denial of access, abuse or threats to personnel, or another material breach, after giving notice where reasonably possible. Charges for work properly completed and commitments reasonably incurred up to suspension or termination remain payable, subject to applicable law.
If the customer cancels any completed part of the design after delivery of File 1, File 2, or the final File 3 design package, charges of Rs. 1,500 for each completed 2D view and Rs. 2,000 for each completed 3D rendered view will apply, unless the accepted design agreement specifies different rates.
Once a design has been approved and procurement or production has commenced, cancellation of that approved design or item will attract up to 100% of its agreed price to the extent that the design work has been completed or the related material, manufacturing, vendor, and non-recoverable costs have been committed. Mandatory statutory refund rights, if any, remain unaffected.
19. Intellectual Property
The website and its text, branding, logos, layouts, photographs, videos, graphics, drawings, and other content are owned by or licensed to DECFORT and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view the website and download or print limited content for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not copy, republish, sell, adapt, scrape, frame, distribute, remove ownership notices from, or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission.
Project-specific design rights and permitted uses are governed by the applicable design or project agreement. Unless full intellectual-property ownership is expressly transferred in writing, concepts, drawings, renderings, technical details, and design documentation remain the intellectual property of DECFORT or the relevant licensor. Payment for services does not automatically transfer copyright.
20. Customer Content and Portfolio Use
If you provide photographs, plans, drawings, logos, reference images, or other materials, you confirm that you have the right to provide them and authorise us to use them for evaluating, designing, pricing, and delivering the requested services.
We will not publish identifiable images of your home, project address, personal information, testimonial, or project story for marketing merely because you submitted an enquiry. Portfolio and promotional use will be based on the consent or permission recorded with you or on content that has been lawfully made available for that purpose. You may contact us regarding future use, subject to materials already printed or lawfully committed for publication.
Where the customer has authorised portfolio use in the project agreement or through separate consent, DECFORT may use approved project photographs and videos for its website, design portfolio, social media, advertising, awards, and other marketing. Personal contact details and the precise project address will not be published unless separately authorised or legally permitted.

23. Third Party Links and Embedded Content
The website may link to or embed third-party platforms, maps, social media, video, payment, analytics, or other services. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. A link or integration does not mean that we control, guarantee, or endorse all third-party content or services.
24. Electronic Communications
You consent to receive service-related communications through the contact details you provide, including telephone, email, SMS, and messaging applications. These may include enquiry follow-ups, appointment details, quotation updates, approval requests, payment reminders, project updates, and support messages.

We do not warrant that general articles, design suggestions, calculators, images, or estimates will be suitable for your property or intended use. You should obtain project-specific technical and professional advice where required.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any representation, warranty, duty, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
27. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DECFORT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising solely from use of or inability to use the website, including loss caused by third-party links, external platforms, or unauthorised access outside our reasonable control.
Liability relating to a design or execution project will be determined under the applicable project agreement and law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.
28. Indemnity for Website Misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate DECFORT for reasonable losses, claims, and costs directly resulting from your unlawful misuse of the website, infringement of another person’s rights, or submission of content you had no right to provide. This clause does not require a consumer to indemnify us for our own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.
29. Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Neither party will be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, fire, epidemic, war, civil disturbance, government restriction, labour disruption, transport interruption, utility failure, supply-chain disruption, or building and society restrictions. The affected party should communicate the impact and take reasonable steps to reduce delay. Payment remains due for services and materials already properly supplied or committed, subject to the project agreement and applicable law.
30. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Please first contact us with the project or enquiry details and a clear description of the concern. We will review the matter and attempt to resolve it in good faith.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or other jurisdiction available under applicable law, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from website use. If an accepted project agreement contains a valid mediation or arbitration clause, that clause will apply to disputes within its scope.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using any remedy available under applicable consumer-protection law.
31. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our website, services, business practices, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes apply from publication unless a later date is stated. Terms already incorporated into an accepted project will not be changed retrospectively except by agreement or as required by law.
32. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure or delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. Headings are for convenience and do not change meaning.
You may not assign a project or your rights under an accepted agreement without our prior written consent, except where applicable law allows otherwise. We may use employees, vendors, consultants, and subcontractors to perform services while remaining responsible to the extent stated in the applicable project agreement and law.
